I am curious if anyone knows if the franchise information on Bikram's site is still applicable? It seems, from what I can tell, that he fully intends to go forward with franchising. Affiliated studios would be offered the option to franchise OR be abandoned when the affiliation agreement expires. So even if we signed this agreement, wouldn't still be vulnerable to finding ourselves "homeless"? No affiliation agreement, no franchise agreement, and new Bikram franchisees being offered the chance to open in our neighborhoods? That is his stated goal on the HQ wesite. Am I missing it, or does this agreement do anything but forestall that inevitable conclusion?

On the one hand it would be hard to imagine that the information on the website has not been updated to reflect the current Affiliation and Intellectual Property agreements. On the other, not so hard to imagine at all. We can look forward to many years of strong organizational support and clear direction from our franchise headquarters well beyond $6,000 per year value.
Yeah. I'm being facetious.

either way, we get VIP Exclusive Access to the knowledgeable staff at Headquarters. I heard we get our own phone line and champagne room.

His brand has been diminished and diluted. There is no value in the name Bikram yoga anylonger. If you want to learn this style of yoga, go to TT and then open your own studio called "Hot Yoga" and advertise yourself as yoga instructor that completed the Bikram Yoga TT.

He is playing yet another shell game on several levels. Read all agreements you ever signed with Bikram. Follow the trail and connect the dots.
Also, Bikram has never enforced illegal use of his trademark "Bikram Yoga".
Ask yourself, are you currently under a License Agreement with Bikram Choudhury, or Bikram College College of India, LP? Is that License Agreement still in effect? Has it expired?
You've been using the Bikram Yoga trademark without having been under a vaild License Agreement for years?
If you don't sign the new License Agreement is Bikram going to 'kick you out'?
